50’s /60’s style

1. can’t get enough of Mad Men. (which yes, it’s a little soap opera-y but the show goes in so deep. It has so many philosophies and views on people and society in it. It touches a lot on generational differences).

2. favorite era of furniture

3. why can’t we dress like this anymore? Crinolines, housecoats, fitted felts, peter pan collars, high waists and sheath skirts. Love it all.  I’m sorely tempted to get a dress from etsy so I can wear it for Halloween…or out and about.

  1. i just finished the series and i have to admit, addicting! I found myself cringing so many times during that show... which is obviously the point. gender roles have developed so much in 50 years!

Did you know Banana Republic has a Mad Men collection out right now?

  2. I did! there's a huge display in the window on king street. I'd be tempted to get something if they weren't so expensive.
